We are currently looking for candidates with leadership skills and familiarity with procedures, statutes and laws regarding juvenile detention and court to fill a Youth Services Supervisor opening working Monday through Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. The Youth Service Supervisor is responsible for managing the activities of the staff on their shift in the Clay County juvenile detention center and ensuring staff is managing the daily living for residents by guiding, teaching, and correcting the residents according to the guidelines and policies of the program. This position provides leadership to their staff members and to the residents developing an effective rapport, resolving problems utilizing conflict resolution skills, and communicating clearly . The ideal candidate will be at least 21 years old, hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, be able to pass a criminal background check, and possess a valid driver’s license and liability insurance. The employee will receive an hourly salary of $25.50 - $27.06 with a benefits package that includes a defined benefit retirement plan fully funded by the County. We also offer three medical plans including two high deductible plans, dental, vision, two flexible spending accounts, and supplemental plans. Full-time employees are also offered life insurance (2X annual salary) paid by the County, paid vacation/sick leave, 14 paid holidays, LTD and tuition reimbursement..
