**FULL TIME HOURLY LEAD TEACHER** TODDLER (1-2 YEARS) @ NORTH CANTON CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER **Seeking Individuals who will...** - Serve as a warm, attentive role model for toddlers ages 1–2 by guiding through simple, positive examples, encouraging safe exploration and early healthy habits, and ensuring a safe, responsive environment that meets the needs of each child. - Be a part of an amazing team of YMCA staff focused on teaching teamwork and social skills, and supporting children as they grow and learn! - Want to make a difference through their work in a caring, educational setting that is rooted in the mission of the YMCA, a non-profit, charity organization. **Minimum Qualifications:** - Associates degree or higher in education or related field or CPL level 3 or above preferred - Ability to pass a background check - At least 18 years old - High school diploma/GED (required) **Preferred Qualifications & Skills:** - Early childhood classroom experience, including lesson planning & conducting assessments - Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice **Benefits:** Competitive benefit package including 85% paid medical, dental and vision. Complimentary membership and discounted rates for child care and most programs. **Starting Pay:** $14.50-17.00/hr **Position Description:** - Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans - Responsible for well-being and personal growth of the children - Assists in potty training - Leads the classroom team that includes supervision of Assistant Teachers - Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child - Conducts parent conferences, and maintains positive relationships and effective communication with parents - Maintains classroom and program equipment - Maintains required program records - Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training - Maintains training in First aid, CPR, Communicable Diseases and Child Abuse Awareness as well as 10 hours of Ohio Approved training per year.
