This is more than just a job – it’s a chance to build meaningful relationships and create lasting change. **About the Role** We are seeking a Young Person Housing Coordinator to support young people aged 18–25 who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, or require support to maintain stable accommodation. In this role, you will provide support to young people living within our dispersed accommodation properties, helping them to maintain their tenancy and develop the skills required for independent living. You will also manage a caseload of young people receiving floating support within the community, providing interventions to prevent homelessness, sustain accommodation, and support them to achieve their personal goals. The role combines both housing management and support responsibilities, ensuring young people receive practical and person centred support needed to move towards greater independence. You will manage a caseload of young people, working collaboratively with internal teams, housing providers, and external agencies to ensure individuals receive the support they need to maintain safe and secure accommodation. This will involve lone outreach working. **Key Responsibilities** **Young Person Support** - Manage a caseload of young people aged 18–25, delivering support plans based on individual needs and goals. - Support young people to access and maintain suitable accommodation. - Ensure young people to understand their tenancy rights and responsibilities. - Develop independent living skills. - Support individuals to maximise their income, manage finances, and access benefits and grants where appropriate. - Promote positive mental and physical wellbeing and support access to relevant health services. - Assist young people in accessing education, training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. - Conduct regular support sessions, reviews, risk assessments, and action planning. - Identify and manage risks, safeguarding concerns, and welfare issues in accordance with organisational procedures. - Encourage engagement with support and other community services. **Housing and Tenancy Management** - Complete tenancy sign-ups and ensure tenants fully understand their tenancy agreements, house rules, security of tenure, and responsibilities. - Issue keys, tenant handbooks, and all relevant tenancy documentation. - Support tenants with Housing Benefit and Universal Credit housing cost applications and ongoing claims. - Carry out regular property inspections, health and safety checks, housekeeping audits, and tenancy visits. - Support tenants to manage rent payments and reduce rent arrears through advice and practical assistance. - Address anti-social behaviour concerns, tenancy breaches, neighbour disputes, and abandonment issues in line with housing policies. - Provide advice and support regarding resettlement and move-on accommodation opportunities. - Work with housing providers, landlords, and partner agencies to minimise void periods and maximis…
