We are seeking a compassionate and motivated **Transition Specialist** to serve the **Daytona/East Volusia** area. to support youth and adults in achieving meaningful employment and long-term career success. This role combines employment services, career coaching, job placement, and transition services for **youth with disabilities, helping individuals develop the skills, confidence, and connections needed to thrive in the workplace.** **What We offer:**• Medical, Dental, and Vision Plans • Paid Holidays, Vacation, Sick, and Personal Time • 401(k) Savings Plan • Employee Assistance Program • Professional Development Opportunities • Easterseals Cares Wellness Program • Work-Life Balance • The Opportunity to Make a Difference in Your Community **A snapshot of what you'll do:** • Assess employment needs, skills, barriers, and career goals, and develop individualized employment plans to support successful employment outcomes. • Provide career counseling, job readiness training, resume development, interview preparation, workplace etiquette instruction, and employment-related coaching. • Assist youth and adults with job searches, applications, interview preparation, onboarding, and employment retention services. • Build and maintain relationships with employers, community partners, Vocational Rehabilitation, social service agencies, and training providers to expand employment opportunities. • Coordinate job fairs, recruitment events, career camps, employment skills training, and work-based learning experiences for youth transitioning from school to employment. • Match job seekers with appropriate employment opportunities and provide ongoing follow-up and workplace support to promote long-term success. • Deliver classroom-based and community-based instruction focused on communication skills, self-advocacy, workplace professionalism, problem-solving, and understanding workplace culture. • Maintain accurate case notes, reports, employment outcome data, and client records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with Easterseals policies. **Qualifications**: • Associate degree and one year of experience working with youth and/or adults with disabilities; or two years of experience working in a vocational services program in lieu of a degree. • Bilingual is a plus! • Minimum of one year of experience working with adults with disabilities, justice-involved individuals, or individuals experiencing long-term unemployment. • Must be a Florida resident. • Must possess a valid Florida driver's license with a clean driving record. • Knowledge of vocational rehabilitation, youth transition services, employment programs, and workforce development practices. • Strong interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and relationship-building skills. • Ability to develop partnerships with employers, community organizations, and service providers. • Strong organizational, documentation, case management, and report-writing skills. • Knowledge of local labor market trends, employer needs, and employment resources. • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and effectively serve diverse populations experiencing barriers to employment. • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, confidentiality, tact, and sound judgment. • Positive attitude toward individuals with disabilities and commitment to the Easterseals mi…
