Workday Systems Manager (Eastern Time Zone)

Our partner is looking for a Workday Systems Manager (Eastern Time Zone) based in United States.** This role offers an opportunity for an experienced Workday professional to take ownership of enterprise financial systems and help shape scalable business operations. You will serve as the functional leader for Workday Financials, partnering closely with finance teams to optimize processes and deliver impactful solutions. The position combines system configuration, process improvement, reporting, and strategic technology enablement within a growing organization. You will translate complex business requirements into efficient Workday solutions while ensuring reliability, compliance, and operational excellence. Working remotely within Eastern Time Zone hours, you will play a key role in improving financial visibility and supporting long-term business growth. ### Accountabilities: - Serve as the functional owner and primary point of contact for Workday Financials, supporting business operations and continuous platform improvements. - Partner closely with Finance and Accounting stakeholders to understand requirements, design solutions, and deliver system enhancements aligned with business goals. - Lead the full lifecycle of Workday Financials initiatives, including requirements gathering, configuration, testing, deployment, and adoption. - Provide subject matter expertise across key finance processes, ensuring Workday configurations support accounting standards, operational efficiency, and best practices. - Manage Workday business processes, security roles, and controls to support compliance, governance, and audit requirements. - Develop and maintain advanced Workday reports and analytics to improve financial visibility, reporting accuracy, and decision-making. - Support financial integrations between Workday and connected systems by coordinating with internal technical teams and external partners. - Lead Workday biannual release activities, including feature evaluation, impact assessments, testing coordination, and recommendations for adoption. - Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 production support by troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing process improvements. - Drive automation, optimization, and adoption of new Workday capabilities to improve efficiency across finance operations. - Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and data-driven insights to enhance financial systems. - Mentor team members and contribute to improving technical maturity, documentation, and operational excellence. ## **Requirements:** - 7+ years of experience supporting Workday Financials in a production environment. - Strong hands-on expertise with Workday Financials configuration, functional design, and business process management. - Proven experience partnering directly with Finance and Accounting teams to gather requirements and deliver effective solutions. - Deep knowledge of one or more Workday Financials domains, such as Procure-to-Pay, Record-to-Report, Quote-to-Cash, or Expenses, with broader understanding of related areas. - Strong understanding of Workday Security, role-based access, and Business Process Frameworks. - Experience with Workday reporting, including Advanced Reports, Matrix Reports, Composite Reports, and Calculated Fields. - Experience with Workday integrations using EIBs and Core Connectors; knowledge of Studio or APIs is a plus. - Familiarity with Workday release cycles, testing processes, and change management practices. - Knowledge of Workday Payroll and/or Adaptive Planning is a plus. - Experience with Prism Analytics is preferred but not required. - Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills with the ability…
