Woodworker I (Sander)

## Overview Under direct supervision, this position performs any of a variety of functions involved with the finishing of wood products, including sealing, staining and painting with the goal of manufacturing a quality part according to Work Order specifications while meeting quality and production standards. Specific duties may vary depending on assigned department. This position flexes in relation to the production demand ## Description Position Overview: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Wood Worker to support manufacturing operations by operating a variety of woodworking machines to produce high-quality wood components, including table tops and related products. Under direct supervision, this role performs assigned machining, finishing, and material-handling tasks while meeting quality, safety, and production standards. This position flexes based on production demand and departmental needs. **Key Responsibilities:** · **Production & Machine Operation** o Operate woodworking machinery such as routers, sanders, lathes, table saws, and related equipment to manufacture wood components and table tops. o Follow work orders, drawings, and specifications to complete jobs accurately and on time. o Perform basic setup and adjustments to woodworking equipment as required. o Support multiple departments as needed based on production requirements. · **Equipment & Process Support** o Perform basic preventative maintenance on woodworking equipment. o Identify equipment issues and notify supervision of maintenance or safety concerns. o Use general hand tools such as drills, grinders, and other shop tools safely and effectively. · **Quality & Safety** o Inspect parts for quality, accuracy, and workmanship. o Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company standards. o Follow all safety rules, procedures, and PPE requirements. o Work safely around moving mechanical parts and in high-noise environments. · **Systems & Documentation** o Perform basic ERP system functions, including clocking in/out and work order transactions. o Accurately record production activity as required. o Perform other duties as assigned. o Other duties as requested ## Requirements ***Education and/or Experience*** - **Wood Spray Finishing experience is a must. Ability to use paint spray guns and adjust and spray even coats of paint.** - High School Diploma/GED or equivalent preferred. - Preferably have 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience. - Functional working knowledge of general hand tools and paint sprayers. - Must be 18 years old or older to work. - **Must take in-person performance spray test during the interview process if you have spraying experience.**
