POSITION SUMMARY: This role is critical in fabricating and assembling structural components using MIG welding techniques, ensuring precision, durability, and compliance with engineering specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES - Perform basic welding tasks under supervision (MIG, Stick, or Flux-Core) - Read and follow simple blueprints and work instructions - Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting components - Conduct basic weld inspections for appearance and obvious defects - Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work area - Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements - All other duties assigned. OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES - To ensure Kelvion’s Standard of Excellence, which includes quality, is incorporated into every product we produce. - Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Global Code of Business Principles, Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, Vision and Values, Operational Framework REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES) - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings. - Familiarity with structural welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1 or equivalent). - Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. - Knowledge of 5S, Lean Manufacturing, and workplace safety practices. - AWS certification is a plus. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (required levels) - High school diploma or GED required; technical training or welding certification preferred. - 0-2years of MIG welding experience, preferably in a structural or heavy fabrication setting.
