***Pay rate depends on qualifications*** **We Are Seeking** With every position we fill, our mission is to support the community by effectively managing and protecting the public water system while offering the opportunity for professional growth in a unique and rewarding work environment. ***The Town of Cave Creek*** has an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of **Water Treatment Operator I, II & III.** The Town of Cave Creek operates a CAP delivery pipeline, a Surface Water Treatment Plant located at 28235 N Basin Rd in Cave Creek, and a number of wells. The Water Treatment Operator reports to the Water Treatment Supervisor. The primary function of a Water Treatment Operator is to operate the water treatment plant including supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system or manually. Other duties include but are not limited to, conduct minor plant and equipment maintenance, perform laboratory analysis to determine optimum chemical dosages, and general housekeeping. Additionally, the Water Treatment Operator is responsible for keeping log books, lab books, lab reports, daily total reports, inspection reports, backwash logs and updating various databases. The individual selected must be able operate and monitor water treatment plant systems using SCADA computer systems, conduct visual plant inspections, monitor plant operations and processes, have the ability to work with and around treatment chemicals in a safe manner, detect problems to ensure proper operation and make process decisions as deemed appropriate.
