Warehouse Production (SPS Companies - Fire Protection Division) SPS Companies Fire Protection Division (Pipe Fabricators) is currently seeking an individual to fill a Warehouse Production role at our Maple Grove location. This is a union position with the local 417 PipeFitters Union. The starting wage is $22.71 with a wage increase every 6 months until reaching full scale following a 3-year progression based on current union agreement. The current top scale is over $34. Job Description Overview - Fill customer orders for production jobs - Provide counter sales support as needed - Assist customers with material selection, payment collection, and invoicing upon completion - Deliver material lists to appropriate production areas - Operate pipe cutting, grooving, and threading equipment - Accurately read cut sheets; measure and cut pipe to specifications - Maintain acceptable groove and thread depth tolerances - Bundle pipe for production and shipment - Package materials for shipment (palletized or boxed) for company trucks or local carriers - Coordinate courier shipments when required - Communicate professionally with warehouse and production staff - Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment - Perform other duties as assigned - Reports to: Production Manager - Position Type: Union, Hourly - Location: Pipe Fabricators - Maple Grove, MN Qualifications - Previous Production experience (preferred but not required) - Forklift (stand up or sit-down) experience (preferred but not required) - Strong attention to detail - Strong communication and customer service skills, including speaking with customers face-to-face and via phone About SPS Companies - Fire Protection Division (Pipe Fabricators) Established in 1984, Pipe Fabricators provides premier fire protection products and fabrication. Our Maple Grove location is one of six branches within the fire protection division of SPS companies, Inc. In addition to fire protection, SPS has a plumbing/HVAC division, and a roofing and sheet metal division. This is a full-time position. Hours will be 8:30am - 5pm, but may vary on occasion.
