SUMMARY: This position is primarily responsible for receiving incoming merchandise via scanner into inventory. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting any packing list discrepancies. This position will be providing prices by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Receive incoming materials from venders or other warehouses - Assist in unloading trucks and placing items on pallets - Study work orders to determine type and quantity of items to be received - Verify the quantity and type of each item by matching to packing list/invoice - Reject damaged items and/or notate delivery documents. - Appropriately record any discrepancies in item, quantity, or type - Arrange for received items to be taken into storage areas and staged for the appropriate destination - Attach identifying tags or labels to each item to ensure product information is made visible - Communicate with customers by providing status of delivery and / or availability - Input all quantities and discrepancies into company provided software at the point of receiving - Coordinate efforts with other staff to always ensure proper cleanliness and product consolidation of the warehouse areas - Assisting in picking, packing and shipping orders out to both or customers and other warehouses SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
