## Description **(The YMCA is an Equal Opportunity Employer)** **Essential Functions**: 1. Security: Make sure that all parents sign in and sign out for their own child(ren); under no circumstances are children released to anyone else. 2. Care: Interact with children, plan activities; follow procedures and disciple guidelines. 3. Greet children and parents in a welcoming and friendly manner. Inform parents of Child Watch procedures and rules in the program. Inform parents immediately of any accidents or behavior problems. 4. Complete incident reports, determine parents are members and keep accurate attendance records. 5. Implementation of YMCA character development initiatives by teaching and role modeling our values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith. 6. Every staff member will help keep our facilities clean: Picking up litter, cleaning up spills, delegating to department staff the responsibility to clean their work areas, and involve members in picking up after themselves. 7. Member Service Promise: Follows through on practices and procedures to deliver on member service promise. 8. Develop an understanding and commitment to the Annual Partners with Youth Campaign 9. Has the functional and technical knowledge and skills required to perform well; uses best practices and demonstrates up-to-date knowledge and skills in technology. **Qualifications:** 1. Must be able to communicate verbally to groups and individuals and enjoy being with children 2. Must be able to physically perform scope of job; sit and stand for periods of time 3. Must be able to lift 50# 4. Experience with children in a child care facility or experience in babysitting 5. CPR certification and Blood Borne Pathogens training **Performance Objectives:** 1. Children are only returned to the parent who checked in the child. 2. Children have a fun and safe experience. Accidents are kept at a minimum 3. Children learn positive values: caring, honest, respect, responsibility and faith 4. Parent’s give the program excellent service and quality ratings 5. Facilities and equipment are clean and well maintained at the highest level 6. All emergencies or accidents are reported immediately to parents, supervisor or Director on Duty 7. Parents want to be involved as volunteers in the YMCA ## Requirements Morning & Evening Availability Continuing Into The School Year. Mon - Sat (8:30am-12:00pm) Mon - Fri (4:00pm-7:30pm) Days/Times Vary
