VP, Commercial Relationship Manager

BSNB is seeking an experienced Vice President, Commercial Relationship Manager with loan workout experience to join our Commercial Banking Department. This individual will be responsible for screening and developing work out plans for potential high-risk commercial loans necessary to secure Bank collateral and reduce the risk of loss. In addition, successful candidates will be responsible for growing a commercial portfolio through building new customer relationships and meeting or exceeding annual sales, revenue and volume objectives. Successful candidates will typically: Analyze, originate and monitor larger loans and/or more complex relationships and transactions. Develop and implement timely workout plans for specific delinquent commercial loans to reduce Bank risk; Make calls independently to develop new business with prospects that have moderate and complex credit needs. Responsible for individual growth goals through development of new business customers and cross-selling existing customers as well as an established network of resources. Gathers financial and general business information and explains products and services offered. Coordinates financial analyses needed to make credit decisions. Contribute and provide input to loan decision process based on evaluation of credit risk and other key factors from Credit Administration Assist in the development and training of less experienced Commercial Relationship Managers. Makes calls independently and invites less experienced Commercial Relationship Managers as a development opportunity. Prepares and submits all reports as required including pipeline reports. May prepare management reports summarizing individual and team loan activity. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years' experience in commercial banking, including 2-3 years of loan workout experience, with a 4-year degree in Business, Finance or related field. Candidates must have a track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships in the capital district area. Candidates will have strong negotiating, sales and relationship building skills coupled with strong credit and financial analysis skills. Well-developed communication skills are a must. Demonstrated PC skills and membership in civic and professional organizations required.
