Position Summary The Vocational Rehabilitation Specialist provides individualized employment services to veterans and individuals with disabilities throughout the Martinsburg area. This field-based position combines career counseling, job development, employer engagement, job coaching, and ongoing employment support to help individuals obtain and maintain competitive, integrated employment. Key Responsibilities Employment Planning & Career Development - Conduct vocational assessments to identify strengths, interests, skills, and employment goals. - Develop individualized employment plans that support each person's career objectives. - Assist clients with resume preparation, job applications, interview preparation, and workplace readiness. Job Development & Employer Partnerships - Develop relationships with local employers to identify employment opportunities. - Match qualified candidates with appropriate positions based on their skills and interests. - Educate employers on workplace accommodations, disability inclusion, and supported employment services. Job Coaching & Retention - Provide on-site job coaching during orientation, onboarding, and the early stages of employment. - Support individuals in developing workplace skills and building natural supports within their work environment. - Monitor employment progress and provide follow-along services to promote long-term job retention. Documentation & Case Management - Maintain accurate documentation, case notes, and employment records using company technology. - Manage an assigned caseload while meeting program requirements and service deadlines. - Travel throughout the community to meet with participants, employers, and community partners. Qualifications Applicants must meet one of the following: - High school diploma or GED with at least two years of relevant work or life experience.
