We are seeking a professional, reliable, and customer-focused **Virtual Medical Receptionist** to support our busy medical practice. This role is responsible for providing exceptional patient service by answering incoming calls, managing appointment scheduling, and following up with patients who have missed or canceled appointments. As the employee becomes comfortable with these core responsibilities, additional administrative duties will be introduced. ### Key Responsibilities - Answer incoming patient calls in a professional and friendly manner. - Schedule new and follow-up patient appointments. - Cancel and reschedule appointments as requested. - Contact patients to follow up on missed or canceled appointments and assist with rescheduling. - Transfer calls to the appropriate office staff when necessary. - Accurately document patient interactions and appointment updates. - Maintain organized calendars and ensure scheduling accuracy. - Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality. - Assist with additional administrative tasks as responsibilities expand. ### What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate will be dependable, personable, and proactive, with the ability to provide outstanding patient support while efficiently managing appointment scheduling and follow-up communications. As they demonstrate proficiency in the core responsibilities, additional administrative tasks and opportunities for growth will be added to the role. ### Required Qualifications - Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Virtual Medical Assistant, or Healthcare Customer Service Representative. - Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. - Strong phone etiquette and patient service skills. - Experience scheduling appointments in a medical setting. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. - Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. - Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace. ### Preferred Qualifications - Experience using **RingCentral** or other multi-line phone systems. - Proficiency with **Google Workspace** (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Drive). - Experience working remotely. - Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. **Please note that this is a full-time contractor position (40 hours per week) with a negotiable pay rate depending on skillset and experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM US Time Zones.**
