Summary: To provide consistent, efficient, personalized and prompt food service. Ensure that Omni Hotel & Resort Standards are always met. The starting wage rate for this position is $17.72 per hour. After six months of employment, the rate will increase to $19.30 per hour, in accordance with the applicable Collective Agreement. This posting represents an existing vacancy. Responsibilities Greet guests when entering the restaurant with a pleasant smile and superior customer service Set tables according to type of event and service standards Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on menu selections Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverage Present accurate check to guest and process payment Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day Clean and set up tables Complete closing duties Requirements 2+ years of fine dining serving experience Hotel experience an asset Knowledge of wines and food and beverage service Good verbal and written skills Knowledge of Microsoft French Service Ability to work well under pressure Good up-selling skills Self-motivated, flexible and reliable Honest and dependable Great customer service and a positive attitude Smart Serve certified
