Vice President- Underwriter, Servicing

The **Vice President – Underwriter, Servicing** is responsible for processing various Borrower consents within Berkadia's Servicing portfolio, including assumptions, ownership transfers, modifications, and collateral changes. All transactions must be underwritten and processed in strict accordance with loan documentation, GSE Guides, servicing agreements, and internal guidelines. Be Berkadia.** **We are committed to growing your career, so in this role you will:** **Responsibilities:** - Perform or oversee contractors' underwriting of transactions and consents. - Ensure that Lenders' and Investors' credit standards are maintained and that identified risks are properly mitigated. - Effectively and continually communicate with all concerned parties, including Berkadia Mortgage Bankers, regarding the progress of underwriting and approval processes. - Maintain a pipeline of approximately 25–35 transactions, ensuring all deals progress in accordance with document and Servicing Agreement requirements, as well as Borrower expectations. - Assist in the development of team members in our India offices. - Manage all escalated and complex issues, elevating them to Senior Management when appropriate. - Manage relationships with external legal counsel, vendors, clients, investors, and internal customers. - Other duties as assigned. **We are passionate about your growth, so to achieve success in this role you should have:** **Preferred Qualifications:** - Expertise in commercial real estate finance, servicing operations, and mortgage documentation. - Strong written, oral, and negotiation skills. - Excellent research, analytical, and organizational skills with a focus on time management and results. - Proficient in Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, HUD, and CMBS guidelines. - ​​Bachelor's degree or equivalent​ - ​​5+ years of experience in a similar position​ **We believe People Matter, so we offer benefits that go beyond:** - Monthly paid volunteer hours and donation matching to benefit our communities - Employee Resource Groups that help you grow with us - Fertility and family planning services - Up to 12-weeks of fully paid parental leave - Mental health care, including free counseling sessions: - We'll help you fund your learning journey with generous tuition reimbursement - Pet insurance discounts - And more! **Be Your Best Self. The actual salary within our range for this position will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to the scope, complexity and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The total compensation package for this role may also include additional incentive opportunities.
