What You�ll Do As a Veterinary Technician - Urgent Care at MVUCS, you�ll be a crucial member of our care team, ensuring pets receive timely attention and top-notch treatment. Your responsibilities will include: Triage and assess patients presenting with urgent needs, working closely with veterinarians to prioritize treatments. Provide hands-on nursing care, including administering medications, placing IV catheters, and monitoring patient vitals. Perform diagnostics such as blood draws, in-house lab tests, and basic imaging to aid in quick, accurate treatment decisions. Communicate clearly with pet owners, updating them on their pet�s condition, next steps, and home-care instructions. Maintain a well-stocked, organized work area, ensuring essential supplies and equipment are readily available. Collaborate with the entire veterinary team, contributing ideas to enhance efficiency, patient comfort, and client satisfaction.
