Will you come F.I.G.H.T. with us? **Responsibilities:** Emergency Veterinary Technicians at Parkway Veterinary Emergency Clinic are responsible for: - Emergency patient triage and care - Venipuncture - IV catheter placement - Obtaining radiographs - Running in-house diagnostic testing - IV fluid therapy - Surgical assisting and post-operative care - Client education and communication - Safe, low-stress pet restraint - Maintaining hospital cleanliness as part of a team - ## Requirements The ideal candidate for our Emergency Veterinary Technician role must: - have a minimum of 2 years of veterinary technician experience; technicians with certification are preferred - have the ability to adhere to the attendance policy - have any allergies to animals controllable through medication - be able to lift 40 pounds - willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditions to include overnight and weekends, and rotating all major holidays - have the ability to walk, bend, stand and reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour day - have visual acuity sufficient to maintain accurate records, recognize people, and understand written directions - have the ability to speak and hear sufficiently to understand, give information in person and over the telephone - have fine motor skills adequate for nursing skills such as phlebotomy and utilizing hospital equipment
