Responsibilities include: - Schedule cardiology consultations, rechecks, technician appointments, and procedures - Prepare exam rooms and procedure suites - Obtain patient histories, body weights, vital signs, and laboratory samples - Safely restrain patients for examinations and procedures - Collect and process blood samples - Administer medications as directed by the cardiologist - Assist with echocardiograms and advanced cardiac diagnostics - Monitor anesthesia and sedation during cardiology procedures under the direction of the cardiologist and anesthesiologist - Document patient care using EzyVet and SmartFlow - Prepare treatment estimates and collect payments - Respond promptly to client phone calls, emails, and prescription refill requests - Maintain accurate medical records and provide compassionate client communication * * * # What We're Looking For ### Minimum Qualifications - Registered, Certified, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, or LVT), or eligible for Colorado registration - Minimum **1 year of Veterinary Technician experience** - High school diploma or equivalent - Strong communication and client service skills - Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty environment ### Preferred Qualifications - Three or more years of Veterinary Technician experience in a specialty hospital - Experience monitoring anesthesia - Interest in veterinary cardiology and specialty medicine - Strong organizational and multitasking skills * * * # About Animal Emergency & Specialty Center Animal Emergency & Specialty Center (AESC) is a leading **24/7 emergency and specialty veterinary hospital** serving Parker and the greater South Denver metro area.
