Veterinary Hospital Administrator

Woodland Veterinary Hospital is seeking a forward-thinking, business-savvy Hospital Administrator to join our established, 9-doctor practice. This leadership role is ideal for someone with a strong background in business operations, finance, and multi-team management�someone with strong financial acumen who is confident managing a P&L, delegating effectively, and driving long-term strategy. You�ll partner closely with our Hospital Manager and medical leadership to oversee the hospital�s financial performance, streamline operations, and support a positive, growth-oriented culture. Key Responsibilities Include: Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions. Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures. Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships. Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives. Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth. Team Leadership: Manage and support department leads, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture. Schedule, benefits and compensation**: This is a full-time, salaried position and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs. Compensation: $80-95k annual base salary.* We are open to discussing compensation for exceptionally qualified candidates. Veterinary hospital management experience strongly preferred; medical, dental, or healthcare practice management experience also considered. Previous veterinary experience (e.g., Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Client Service Representative) preferred. Bachelor's degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams. Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations. Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
