By bridging the gap between government programs and workplace benefits, FEDlogic delivers meaningful impact for employees while helping employers manage risk, reduce costs, and strengthen their benefits offering. ***Job Description*** **Title:** Veterans Administration (VA) Benefits Expert **Location:** Remote (with a little travel) **Employment Type: F**ull Time **Reports To:** Director of Expert Services ***Position Overview:*** We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate VA Benefit Expert to join our Services team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting veterans, their families, and caregivers in understanding and navigating VA benefits, along with other federal and state benefits they are potentially eligible to receive. You’ll provide guidance on eligibility, application processes, and benefits available through the VA and other federal and state programs, helping veterans access the support they deserve. ***Key Responsibilities:*** - Conduct one-on-one consultations to assist veterans, families, and caregivers with VA benefits, including health, disability, pension, education, and other services. - Analyze individual cases to determine eligibility and advise clients on available benefits and the application process. - Guide clients through complex VA forms and documentation requirements. - Collaborate with other departments to support veterans' access to additional community resources when appropriate. - Stay up-to-date on changes in VA regulations, policies, and eligibility criteria. - Handle sensitive information confidentially, adhering to HIPAA and other data protection regulations. - Prepare reports on program outcomes and maintain accurate records for tracking services provided to clients. - Participate in training and professional development activities to enhance knowledge of VA benefits. ***Required Qualifications:*** - Minimum of 10 years of experience in veterans’ benefits counseling, case management, or a similar field. Familiarity with VA systems is preferred. - Minimum 3 years of customer service, healthcare navigation, benefits administration, or case management experience. - In-depth understanding of VA benefits, programs, and eligibility requirements. - Strong analytical and documentation skills and be detail oriented. - Strong writing, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. - Experience working in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment. - Prolonged sitting and computer work. - Must be able to handle confidential sensitive medical information. - Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management systems (i.e. Salesforce and Tableau), workforce management tools, Google Workplace, Slack and minimal usage of Microsoft Office Suite. ***Preferred Qualifications:*** - Experience providing benefits counseling, healthcare, eligibility analysis, advocacy or case management. - Experience working with vulnerable populations or individuals navigating serious health or financial challenges. - Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are helpful. - Experience coordinating employer-sponsored benefits with federal and state programs. - Preferred candidates will have great customer service skills and the ability to provide 5 star service. ***What we Offer:*** - Flexible remote work environment - Paid Time Off (PTO) plus all federal holidays off - Comprehensive benefits pa…
