Join us on this meaningful journey where your skills, compassion and dedication will make a remarkable difference in the lives of those we serve. **How you’ll contribute** A Vascular Sonographer who excels in this role: - Receives patients, explains method of procedure and makes sure patient is comfortable. - Provides patient services to all ages using imaging modalities. - Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. - Maintains equipment and supplies and organizes work area. - Keeps accurate records, helps with scheduling of the ultrasound and keeps patient flow smooth. - Checks the physician's requisition for complete information on the procedure requested' refers any questions to the ultrasound physician before performing the procedure. - Assists the radiologist/referring physician in invasive procedures using sterile technique while maintaining infection control guidelines. - Recognizes the significance of all structures that are visualized on the monitor and be able to differentiate artifacts from anatomic/pathologic structures within equipment limitations. - Possesses an in-depth knowledge of anatomy/physiology, technical expertise and able to improve standard procedures to enhance diagnostic results when needed. **Why join us** We believe that investing in our employees is the first step to providing excellent patient care.
