Van Driver

East Troy Manor is seeking a Van Driver to work at our Senior Care Community on a PRN basis. The Van Driver is responsible for safely and promptly transporting residents to and from appointments at area medical facilities (clinics/hospitals) and on various outings/excursions. He / She safely loads and secures passengers with wheelchairs and other mobility devices. Assists passengers with exiting the vehicle and guiding them to their appointments, providing proper documentation to the facility if needed. Having a good sense of direction and the ability to work independently, using sound judgement in the transportation of residents is essential to this position. **Position Requirements:** Experience and Training Requirements: High school graduate or equivalent At least 18 years of age Have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Be CPR Certified Be physically able to waist lift, push and/or pull maximum of 80 pounds Ability to frequently bend, squat or climb during an 8-hour day Have a good sense of direction and be able to follow a map or GPS Must be English literate and be able to communicate with the elderly and the public at large **Essential Functions of the Job:** \*Transports residents safely to and from appointments at area medical facilities. May sit and visit with residents if necessary throughout the transport process. \*Ensures residents arrive to their appointments in a timely manner, ensuring they are not late. Uses good judgment and common sense to anticipate traffic or weather-related delays. \*Transports residents to and from various outings or excursions. May assist during the outing with various tasks to ensure resident safety. \*Safely loads and secures passengers with wheelchairs and other mobility devices. \*Assists passengers with exiting the vehicle and guiding them to their appointment or activity. Provides documentation if needed. \*Demonstrates a good sense of direction and knowledge of reading a map and/or understanding a GPS. \*Ensures facility vehicle gas tank is filled appropriately and timely. \*Maintains the vehicle internally and externally ensuring a respectable image of Ingleside Manor. \*Reports vehicle issues to the Maintenance Director as they occur. \*Completes other duties as assigned. **About East Troy Manor:** Join our 50-bed skilled nursing community, where long-term care meets short-term rehab with heart.
