You can contact her directly at **978-312-4373** or via email at **amelo.1@covh.org**. ## Requirements ***PRIMARY POSTION RESPONSIBILITIES*** The primary purpose of your job position is the safe operation of the facility van to transport residents/patients to and from appointments. - Must have the Ability to think quickly in difficult traffic conditions - Properly use of the Q’Straint system when securing wheelchairs to the floor of the van as described by the **** manufacturer and sign the logbook every time the system is used - Transferring a resident from a wheelchair to a stationary van seat, and adjust and secure seat belt - Safely assist the resident into and from the destination building. Wait with the resident as appropriate and ensure that they are assisted in movement to and from the appointment as well as assist in their toileting needs - Ensure that any supplies needed for the transport are readily available - Conduct a “walk round” the van prior to transport and at least weekly if not in use to ensure that it is in a condition safe for operation to include: - Check tires for low air pressure and tread wear - Check rear tires for any objects between dual tires - Check all light covers for cracks and breakage - Check mirrors and windows for crack/breakage and cleanliness - Check under van for any leaks or puddles of fluid - Che…
