Joining Eastern means you’re part of a supportive and family focused culture. **Why choose Eastern?** - Extensive benefits including 100% paid insurance options - Matched 401(k) options - Employee & family fuel discounts for your home - Sign-on bonus - Boot and uniform allowances - State of the art Training Center - 3.5 Weeks paid time off + 7 paid holidays - Veteran’s Day paid holiday for active military and veterans - Opportunity for growth - Complimentary coffee, snacks, and Thanksgiving turkey - Shortened summer hours – full pay, shorter days - Wellness reimbursement (gym, exercise classes, and more) - Tuition reimbursement - Additional voluntary benefits - Pet insurance **About this opportunity** This position will ensure the safe delivery of liquid products to our customers and provide support to the Service department as needed. **What your role will look like** - Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport liquid fuel products in every weather condition and at any time, day or night. - Unload liquid fuel products from vehicle, which includes pulling up to 150 feet of delivery hose. - Support Eastern’s policies and procedures by maintaining required licensure and meeting DOT and SOP standards. - Remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner, including reporting any unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately. - Demonstrate a commitment to safety by engaging in safety meetings, safety training, and safety refreshers, alerting supervisor to unsafe actions, and modeling safety-conscious practices. - Perform leak checks in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code #58 and restart system appliances. - Install and maintain tank monitors. - Maintain organized and professional standards and appearance in dress, hygiene, cleanliness of vehicle. - Perform maintenance of facility during off-season including painting, mowing, trimming, raking, weeding, tank preparation, tank evacuation, and meter reading. - Provide support to the Service department, as needed, to include the following functions: - Perform tank swaps and inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. - Perform cathodic testing of underground tanks and DOT tank inspections. - Operate crane truck for setting, installing, and transporting propane tanks. - Assist certified Service and Installation Technicians with equipment installation. **What you’ll bring to this role** - Education: High school diploma or equivalent. - Age requirement: minimum of 21 years old. - Licensure/Certification: - Valid state license for size vehicle and appropriate endorsements. - Submit to and pass DOT physical. - Submit to and pass DOT drug and alcohol tests. - Proven history of a safe driving record and must maintain same. - Maine Delivery Technician License Preferred. - Tank Setter and Pipe Technician License Preferred. **Apply now to heat up your career at Eastern!**
