Utility Billing Accountant - Property Management The Basics: Location : Position will be based in Richmond, VA Schedule: Monday – Friday Hybrid position – some remote work with 2 days in office per week Reports To: Utility Manager Responsibilities: Calculating and processing resident water/sewer charges on a monthly basis Assists in identifying and resolving utility billing discrepancies Communicate with vendors and onsite property teams to resolve utility issues Enter utility (water/sewer, gas and electric) invoices into payable system Assist with monthly financial statement review including review of the general ledger and processing month end journal entries Special projects and other duties, as assigned by Utility Manager Qualifications : Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment Exceptional attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft excel and using formulas Excellent communication and overall computer skills Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment Accounting knowledge and experience is a plus Pay: $53-58k depending on experience and accounting knowledge Benefits: Rent discount, paid holidays, birthday time off, vacation and sick time, health, dental and vision insurance, Employee Assistance Program, 401k with company match Employees must be available to work in the corporate office as required by the employee's manager, director, and/or department policy.
