(USA) Warehouse Supervisor

Role & Responsibilities: - Follow work procedures and standards that allow MEC to compete at the highest level of the logistics service providers in the USA. - Maintains operational plans to include all business requirements. This includes objectives, targets, labor hours, KPIs, action plans, and budgets consistent with goals set by management. Meet financial objectives for the facility. - Thorough experience on WMS; utilizing full functionality including RF. - Must be able to use management and performance functionality of WMS to drive efficiency. - TMS experience to include management of inbound and outbound loads, transload operations and KPI management. - Ensures all established costs, quality, and delivery commitments are met. - Coordinates activities with all other functions of the organization and suppliers to obtain optimum productivity and utilization of human resources, IT, and equipment. - Reviews productivity and operating reports and directs the resolution of operational and customer service problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays. - Measure performance of warehouse employees. - Trains and ensures all assigned employees are aware of and comply with company, government, and customer policies, procedures, and regulations. - Determines responsibilities of assigned organization and staff positions to accomplish business objectives. - Maintain a clean and organized facility that is “tour ready" at all times. - Process cargo physically. Required to be hands on facing the day to day operation, setting the example for the rest of the team. - Ensure compliance with rules and laws relating to USA warehousing and distribution regulations (CTPAT, OSHA, ISO, etc.). - Ensure safety standards in MEC’s logistics facility. - To perform other duties as assigned by Department Manager. Qualifications: - Associate’s degree in logistics, business administration, or related field. - Minimum 4 years’ experience on CFS, warehouse operations supervisory experience, specifically air freight inbound/outbound, receiving and shipping. - Proven experience with international freight management air/ocean. - Proven experience in warehouse management, structure and organization with emphasis on process analysis/engineering and cost analysis. - Experienced with warehouse management systems. Cargowise experience preferred. - Proven team work and reporting to weekly department head meeting to review daily issues and determine actions to solve them. - Strong tactical (hands on) supervisory experience. - Leading skills to coordinate with other supervisors, customer service and warehouse floor teams. - Excellent organization, analytical, written, and oral communication skills. - Ability to work effectively in a multitasking environment and work constructively under pressure. - Ability to supervise multiple projects, delegate to appropriate staff, and meet specific goals and deadlines. - Candidate must be self-motivated, customer-service oriented, and eager to ensure the success of the team. - Ability to function independently, with minimal supervision.
