The SICU is a 24-bed acute intensive care unit specializing in: · Major trauma care · Postoperative multi-system failure · Liver and kidney transplant recovery Our highly skilled nurses also provide care in the CT PACU setting, supporting patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgery. This is a high-acuity environment with a 1:1 or 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio across all shifts. Using advanced technologies, the team cares for patients requiring: · Ventilatory support · Hemodynamic monitoring · Intracranial pressure (ICP) monitoring · Continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) · Intra-aortic balloon pumps (IABP) · Biventricular assist devices (BIVADs) In this role, you will help ensure nurses are prepared to deliver safe, evidence-based care while also supporting patients’ families during critical moments.
