In this role you will have the unique opportunity to become a Certified Nursing Assistant with paid training. No previous experience required. In this role, you will be exposed to various positions within our communities such as dietary, housekeeping, and Certified Nursing Assistant. You will assist in providing services to residents which are non-nursing related, activity related, and meet the needs of the community. After a minimum of 30 days as a Unit Attendant, you will be evaluated based on time, attendance, and overall job performance to be considered for the paid Nurse Aide Trainee Program. Once you successfully complete our training program, you will be qualified to take the certification exam, paid for by Heritage, to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. **This position is so incredibly important to the care and dignity of our residents and we are blessed to be able to provide this opportunity to those called to serve in this capacity.** **Responsibilities:** - Stocks Supplies in the resident rooms - Assists in the passing of all meals in the dining rooms and on the floors. - Assists in the transporting to and from all meals, activities and appointments. - Accompanies residents to external appointments. - Assist in the passing and collecting of ice water and meal trays. - Assists in the entering of meal consumption into Care Tracker. - Assist with small unit and one on one activities. - Assists housekeeping or CNA’s in bed making for non-isolated rooms. - Occasionally provides one-on-one companionship to residents who need extra support. **Benefits:** - Generous paid time off (accrued) - Paid sick time (New York) - 401k (with an employer match) - Employer contributed Medical, Dental, and vision insurance - Employer paid life insurance - Paid training opportunities - Education Assistance plans - Employee pharmacy program - Special employee recognition and giveaways **** **Qualifications:** - High School Diploma or GED Required. - Valid Driver’s License - Ability to lift minimum 35 pounds.
