Uniform Patrol Deputy

**Job Duties** **:** - Patrol assigned area. - Stop cars for violations - Investigate loitering. - Make arrests and issue citations. - Respond to accidents, providing first aid and emergency services until paramedics arrive. - Respond to dispatched calls. - Conduct traffic, criminal and other investigations. - Prepare detailed and well written reports. - Testify in court in response to subpoenas **Shift:** 12-hour rotating shifts **Qualifications:** - At least 21 years old - Citizen of the United States or a permanent resident - Have a minimum of a high school diploma or a high school equivalency recognized by the State of Louisiana - Must have one of the following - at least one year of experience as a Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certified law enforcement officer in a full-time position, whose job duties included armed duty with the power of arrest; or - Louisiana Law Enforcement POST Certification; or - 1 year of continuous active duty in the military; or - Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university; or - 80+ semester hours from a regionally accredited college or university in a Bachelor's Degree program **Compensation and Benefits:** - $46,755 starting annual salary - 100% employer paid health, vision and life insurance for our employees. The plan is similar to a 401(k) plan offered in private industry, but there is no employer match for employee contributions.
