WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: *Ultrasound Technologist,* Part Time Location: Onsite Arlington Heights Days/Hours: Saturday 8am-4:30pm or 5pm OVERVIEW OF KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Document patient's medical history prior to any examination - Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment - Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process and addressing any questions or concerns - Carefully position patients in order to obtain correct imaging - Responsibly ensure patient is comfortable and safe throughout their experience - Maintains cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies - Use sonographic skills to identify, record and adapt procedures - Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart - Effectively communicate medical data, patient history and any related information to staff and appropriate physician - Provide education, training and direction to new technologists - Perform all job related functions as a Ultrasound Technologist, including all Ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standard in a timely and efficient manner - Perform all other duties as assigned - Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance without assistance - Must be able to stand, stoop, lift and walk without restrictions QUALITIES YOU SHOULD POSSESS: - Quick, accurate decision making - Ability to perform effectively under stressful situations, working in fast-paced environment - Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized - Technical, extensive knowledge and skilled expertise in ultrasound technology - Ability to integrate diagnostic sonograms, laboratory results, and medical histories to adapt sonographic examinations as necessary - Effective, composed communication to address patient's questions - Interpersonal skills, patient focused attitude with passion and sensitivity towards their care EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS: - ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience - Proficiency running advanced Ultrasound studies independently - Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts,OB/GYN, Vascular - Experience in Breasts - CPR-BLS Certification BENEFITS & TOTAL REWARDS: - Paid time off - Paid on-site training - 401(k) with 4% company match, when eligible - Competitive pay and growth opportunities - Quarterly appreciation Breakfast/Lunch Bright Light Medical Imaging is impacted by the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for recruiting from vendors such as Indeed, Glassdoor, Zip Recruiter and LinkedIn as a result of these vendor’s presentation of received resumes in their portal.
