The other postings can be found here: [Tree Trimmer Crew Leader](https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/oaklandca/jobs/5387611/tree-trimmer-crew-leader) **We are looking for someone who is:** - Knowledgeable about climbing safety protocol and tree growth, planting, and trimming. - Skilled at climbing and operating tree maintenance equipment and trucks. - Skilled at establishing excellent working relationships with their colleagues. - Positive and has a can-do attitude. **What you will typically be responsible for:** - Climbing and working up to fifty-five feet to prune, shape, strip, and remove trees over roadways, in parks, and at other City properties. - Using a variety of tree maintenance equipment such as power saws, chainsaws, and other specialized trimming tools. - Responding to emergency work orders in all weather conditions. - Maintaining a variety of tree maintenance equipment, including aerial lifts, knuckle boom cranes, stump grinders, and chippers. - Supporting team members with maintenance activities. - Identifying and reporting hazardous tree conditions, safety hazards, and work conditions. - Planting, staking, watering, and mulching young trees.
