Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $2,105–$2,165 per week - Contract length: 13 weeks - Shift: 3x12-hour days - Start date: August 2, 2026 - Setting: hospital operating room - Orientation and credentialing: new employee orientation weekly during the summer; credentialing due one week prior to start - Scheduling flexibility: may float to all ORs as needed - Cancellations: client may cancel up to 2 times per month with minimum 2 hours’ notice Responsibilities - Provide perioperative nursing care for adult and pediatric patients through scrub and circulate roles in the OR - Assist surgeons and anesthesia team, maintain sterile technique, monitor patient status, and document intraoperative events - Prepare and pass instruments, manage equipment, and assist with case turnover between procedures - Support complex cases, including robot-assisted procedures, large head and neck surgeries, neuro-spine, and abdominal exploration as applicable - Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to policy - May be assigned to multiple ORs within the scheduled shift; follow department protocols and safety standards Requirements - Active registered nursing license in Kansas (KS RN license) - AHA BLS certification - 2+ years of operating room experience; level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred - Strong scrub experience and familiarity with DaVinci robot cases, head and neck procedures, neuro-spine, and ex-lap cases - OR experience across orthopedics, general, trauma, gynecology, urology, and plastics is preferred - Must be able to work in a hospital OR setting; no new graduates accepted for this assignment - Credentialing due one week prior to start (Mon) Benefits and Support - Bi-weekly pay schedule - Nicotine-free facility - Orientation: 8-hour no-bill orientation; new employee orientation on Mon-Tue and nursing orientation Wed-Fri; offered weekly during the summer - Credentialing deadline: one week prior to start - Scheduling support through a dedicated account manager - Clear communications and on-call support during the assignment Find more opportunities If you’d like to explore other travel nursing openings, apply at Healthforce Healthcare LLC’s career page: https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply PAY DISCLAIMER Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
