Overview Travel Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry (Med Surg Tele) in Rochester, New York. Start date: 08/10/2026 for a multi-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,870–$1,989 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Unit: a 19-bed medical-surgical/telemetry track within a hospital setting, caring for adult and geriatric patients with acute medical diagnoses. Key Highlights - Weekly pay: $1,870–$1,989 per week - Guaranteed hours: 0.0 - Start date: 08/10/2026 - Shift: 3x12 Nights - Unit/setting: 19-bed MS/Tele unit in a hospital - Travel assignment with mandatory floating within scope to meet facility needs Responsibilities - Provide direct nursing care for adult and geriatric patients on the MS/Tele track, including assessments, monitoring, and pertinent documentation - Implement and adjust care plans for conditions common to the unit (e.g., acute kidney injury, sepsis, pneumonia, COVID, infections) and respond to rapid responses and codes as needed - Administer medications, manage IV therapy and peripheral lines, perform phlebotomy, and use a tube feeding pump when indicated - Utilize EPIC for charting; maintain accurate, timely documentation and coordinate with the interdisciplinary team (PT, Respiratory, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary, Rapid Response Teams) - Operate and monitor common equipment (SCD pumps, Bair Hugger, wound VAC, isolation precautions/PPE) and ensure patient safety and infection control - Collaborate with team members to support timely patient discharge planning and family education Requirements - Active NY RN license in hand for submission - BLS certification - Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience - EPIC charting experience is a facility requirement - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs - RTO restrictions: return-to-office availability within ~1 week; do not submit candidates with RTO greater than ~10 days Benefits and Support - Dedicated support throughout the assignment from a Healthforce Healthcare LLC recruiter - 24/7 travel and clinical support during the assignment - Orientation provided to facilitate onboarding (12 hours) - EPIC charting onboarding and ongoing charting support as required - Credentialing and compliance assistance to help with licensure and needed documentation Find more opportunities If this role isn’t the right fit, explore other nursing openings at Healthforce Healthcare LLC by visiting https://healthforce.applytojob.com/apply Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
