Transporter- Gettysburg Transport Team - Day/Evenings

Full Time (72 Hours/Biweekly) Shift: Evenings (11:30 - 9:00 pm) Weekends (8:30 - 6:00pm) Holidays (8:00 - 4:00pm) **General Summary** Performs activities related to transportation of patients. Follows established safety guidelines and uses appropriate devices when transporting patients. Provides messenger services on request ### Responsibilities **Essential Functions:** - Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary and support department areas as directed. - Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs or stretchers using appropriate body mechanics to perform patient lifts. - Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. **Common Expectations:** - Maintains established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment, safety, environmental and infection control standards. - Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings. - Provides outstanding service to all customers; fosters teamwork; and practices fiscal responsibility through improvement and innovation. - Performs dispatching duties such as receiving transport requests, dispatching available transporters based on established priorities, coordinating transports to minimize delays and maintaining appropriate documentation. ### Qualifications **Qualifications** **Minimum Education:** - High School Diploma or GED Required **Work Experience:** - Less than 1 year Relevant experience.
