This position offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that’s constantly evolving. **Main responsibilities:** - Communicating to the work force ways to promote a safe work environment. - Implement cost-saving measures through working closely with drivers’ dispatchers and software vendors. - Managing equipment and manpower requirements for daily operational needs - Monitoring employees daily work assignments and spearheading safety initiatives for the department. **We are looking for candidates who possess the following:** - 2-year college degree, Bachelors preferred or 2 to 5 years of proven supervisory experience - Strong knowledge of Department of Transportation laws and regulations - Knowledge of HOS and Dispatching routing systems, MOBI and Prospero experience are a plus - Familiar with a union work environment and time and attendance procedures and requirements - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Possess transportation experience including loading of trailers and store delivery procedures.
