Transportation Manager

SUMMARY: The Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the transfer operations. The role will require management efforts to ensure on-time execution, fleet maintenance and communications with the driving team and other departments as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Lead a team of CDL & Non CDL drivers through any challenges that occur on shift. • Supervise all aspects of the KSI fleet, including driver, fleet, and compliance management. • Liaison with the operations team to ensure fleet meets operations KPIs. • Maintains strict compliance with DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations. • Verify and maintain HOS and DVIR program for the KSI fleet. • Communicates with management on service or performance issues. • Travel for training of new employees (Travel is required) • Responsible for timecards, vacation approvals, and conducting performance reviews. • Perform other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: • 3-5 years’ experience in transportation. • Excellent verbal, written, and auditory communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to plan and organize workload; flexibility to handle pressure and work with interruptions and meet deadlines • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others. • Ability to remain professional and courteous in challenging situations. • Ability to work flexible hours as needed PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
