Coordination with customer service, production planning, shipping, purchasing, and external carriers. Reviews machine schedules to plan pending loads as orders are ready to ship. Communicates with carriers daily and manage carrier relationships to ensure timely deliveries. **Key Responsibilities** - Actively supports and promotes safe work practices throughout the mill by being present at safety activities and personally encouraging safe behaviors. - Maintain adherence to Company policies and safety guidelines. - Works with Twin Rivers’ customer service representatives and external carriers to prioritize shipments and to ensure deliveries are made in a timely manner - Manages areas of transportation by planning truck shipments, rail shipments, or warehouse releases and warehouse management - Manage orders, assigned tasks and time. Identify customer needs and present info in an effective manner. Analyze and monitor forecasts. Participate in process improvement. Cross train and back up other as needed. - Understands freight costs and optimizes/reduces these costs at all times - Shall have an awareness of the Food Safety Policy, GMP’s, HACCP principles and Food Safety Standard. **Required Qualifications** - Business degree from accredited college/university or equivalent industry specific experience. - 1-2 years’ experience in logistics and transportation industry **Key Competencies** - Able to read and follow written and verbal work instructions - Able to work independently or in a team environment - Attentive to details and work quality - Strong decision-making skills - Ability to effectively use computer tools including, but not limited to – Word and Excel
