**Job Title:** Transit Driver **Position:** Part-Time **Job Summary** Provide safe and efficient transportation for residents living in the local service area. ROCS Moody County Transit primarily operates between the hours of Monday - Friday, 8-4:30p. Vehicles primarily operated include paratransit vans, mini-vans, and buses. **Responsibilities** - Transport passengers over specified routes according to time schedule. - Perform and record manufacturer recommended maintenance/repairs of vehicle. - Assist passengers in entering and exiting vehicle. - Assist frail and disabled persons to door and carry packages if necessary. - Inform supervisor of progress and problem areas. - Maintain required records and reporting. - Comply with traffic regulations. - Perform required daily vehicle inspection. - Ensure that vehicle is kept clean and orderly. - Maintain confidentiality in appropriate matters. - Attend necessary staff meetings and training sessions. **Qualifications** - Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license, a good driving record and proof of auto insurance. - Must be physically able to assist persons needing help while using the service. - Good customer services and communication skills. - All applicants will be subject to a criminal background fingerprint check before being considered for employment.
