Training Facilitator - Motor Carrier

## Overview ***\*\* This position is fully on-site in Indianapolis, IN. \*\**** **Knowledge Services is currently seeking a Training Facilitator for a 12-month contract (potential for extension) with the State of Indiana Department of Revenue on the West side of Indianapolis.** - The employee is responsible for providing training and resource information to state and contractual staff members. - Purpose of work is to ensure that the Department’s policies and established guidelines are met in regard to staff development and training. - The employee will be expected to partner with agency personnel and related stakeholders working toward the completion of assigned functions. Exceptional customer service is provided to agency partners and the general public. **Work Location:** Fully on-site in Indianapolis, IN (West Side). **Work Hours:** Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM **Pay Rate:** $20/hour ## Responsibilities **Training Facilitator essential functions include:**• Facilitate training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques to accommodate different learning styles and preferences• Conduct orientation and introductory training for all new staff• Assist with the planning, coordination, development, performance, and evaluation of the training programs for a state agency, including researching, designing, developing, and executing strategies to achieve agency purpose, goals, and objectives• Manage up-to-date, engaging and interactive training materials, including presentations, job aids, and hands-on activities• Coordinate training schedules, venues, and logistics, ensuring smooth execution of training events• Test, measure, and evaluate trainee performance and make recommendations on retention or working status• Maintain training records and prepare reports on training activities, attendance, and outcomes• Assist with evaluating proposed and existing staff training content and delivery strategies to ensure current policies, procedures, standards, and best practices are incorporated• Prepare and distribute surveys and questionnaires used as data reference for training needs assessments ## Qualifications **Training Facilitator Qualifications include:** • Extensive communication, presentation, and facilitation skills• Knowledge of adult learning and educational theories, methods, principles, practices, techniques, and assessment tools• Ability to quickly learn subject matter laws, rules, and regulations• Experience with Microsoft products such as PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.• Ability to conduct research and remain abreast of new developments in training• Excellent oral and written communication skills• Ability to abide by the Department’s Standards of Conduct• Ability to assess training needs, gather feedback, and make data-driving decisions for continuous improvement *Knowledge Services is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.
