We are looking for a detailed oriented Traffic Coordinator to join our team at our Washington, MO plant. **JOB SUMMARY:** Coordinates inbound and outbound shipments to plant. Functions as a direct point of contact for customers, drivers, contract carriers and division employees in various departments. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:** • Reviews delivery requirements, set by customer and builds delivery schedule. • Schedules both inbound and outbound shipments and communicates with affected departments and PM as needed. • Communicates with shipping locations outlining the specific compliance instructions for job sites. • Creates loading plan and communicates with loading Supervisor. • Independently problem solves any delivery issues, originating from the customer, carriers. • Back-up for raw material delivery appointments, system receipts, accuracy of paperwork to receive into system. • Take photos, document and complete quality checks of all finish good outbounds. • Performs dispatch functions for shipping office. • Ensure all drivers meet the required safety PPE for both our Yard and customer work sites. • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. • Regular and reliable attendance. **QUALIFICATIONS:** • Associate degree and 2 years of proven experience working in a supply chain or logistics role, preferably within the steel industry or 4 years of related experience in lieu of a degree (2 of which is proven experience working in supply chain or logistics role, preferably within the steel industry). • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions. • PC skills including MS Word and MS Excel minimum. • Experience with inventory, shipping, receiving and production software preferred. • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in all tasks. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in supply chain management. Preferred experience: • Experience with RateLinx TMS platform • Microsoft Dynamics ERP system **PHYSICAL DEMANDS:** • Frequent communication with others to exchange information. • Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. • Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. • Occasional adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. • Routinely required to balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. • Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. • Constant use of computer for prolonged periods. • Constantly thinking and processing information. • Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks. **WORK ENVIRONMENT:** • General office and constant exposure to computer display. • Daily interaction with yard loaders, truck drivers and production managers/supervisors. • Up to 20% of the day outside documenting loads. • May require occasional exposure to production areas with airborne particles, fumes, loud noises, and extreme heat and cold. Personal protection equipment is required when entering a manufacturing plant.
