Tractor Trailer Technician

Fraza & Vitan Equipment is seeking an experienced Heavy-Duty Diesel Technician to service, diagnose, and repair OTR tractor-trailers and semi-trucks. This is a fast-paced, field-based position where you'll use your diagnostic expertise across heavy-duty mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to keep our customers' fleets moving and minimize road downtime. **Why you’ll love it here:** - Sign-on bonus available - Hourly pay based on experience - Company vehicle provided (Take-home service truck) - No weekends & flexible daily field scheduling - Full benefits package: PTO, medical, dental, vision, & 401(k) with match - Commission opportunities for service work and identifying additional fleet repair needs What you’ll do: - Troubleshoot and repair complex diesel engines, air brakes, electrical systems, and heavy-duty drivetrains - Perform preventative maintenance (PMs), annual DOT inspections, and emergency roadside/field repairs - Hit the road to various customer fleet sites—every day brings a different rig and a new diagnostic challenge - Log your service work accurately and communicate clearly with the branch dispatch team **What you’ll need:** - 2+ years of hands-on experience repairing OTR tractor-trailers, semi-trucks, or heavy-duty diesel equipment - Strong diagnostic instincts across heavy truck systems (Class 7-8) and a safety-first mindset on the job - Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for the company truck (CDL is a plus, but not required) **Get to know us:** Fraza and Vitan Equipment is a full-service material handling business with over 300 skilled employees across Michigan and the East Coast.
