Toolmaker

**POSITION SUMMARY:** The Toolmaker is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of machine tools used in the fabrication and repair of tools, dies, and parts. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, tool repair, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings. The Toolmaker will ensure the safety, quality, and efficiency of production while adhering to safety and quality standards. **ESSENTAL RESPONSIBILITES:** · Responsible for the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the facility and safety and wellness of all team members. · Responsible to ensure process adherence to all applicable quality procedures to assure quality product with priority for patient safety. · Communicate regularly in a respectful and collaborative fashion with members of the team to promote teamwork and maintain high level of morale. · Repair and maintain press tools and dies. · Perform routine servicing and regrinding of tools. · Read and interpret engineering drawings to fabricate and repair parts · Study specifications such as blueprints, sketches, models, and descriptions to determine materials and machine requirements. · Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders, ensuring machine parts meet specifications. · Perform heat treatment on tools and parts as needed. · Grind carbide tooling and operate centerless grinding equipment. · All other duties as assigned.
