Tooling Repair and Maintenance Technician **Description -** Primary functions of this role are the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and support of tooling and equipment used on an Inkjet Manufacturing Final Assembly Line. Responsibilities include the repair and preventive maintenance of motor drivers, conveyor systems, vision systems, cylinders, online test and inspection equipment, ink delivery systems, fixtures, lift mechanisms, and pallet shuttle systems. The role also performs lockout/tagout procedures, works with approved cleaning chemicals, and supports the modification of existing tooling as well as the installation and commissioning of new tooling for the assembly line. In addition, this role is responsible for streamlining common initiatives, ensuring alignment across teams, and executing work that meets quality standards and project timelines. The position identifies opportunities to improve processes, tools, and documentation, conducts design and operational reviews, and supports the development of scalable systems and solutions. Working closely with platform architects, engineers, and project managers, the role applies structured problem-solving and design-thinking methodologies to translate requirements into actionable solutions, facilitate research and analysis, and ensure successful project execution. **Responsibilities** • Streamlines activities under common initiatives, managing achievements and touchpoints to ensure alignment and unity. • Executes design work that consistently meets defined quality standards within specified timelines. • Identifies team needs regarding processes, tools, documentation, and asset management, and drives necessary changes to enhance efficiency. • Conducts design reviews of blocks with peers and management to demonstrate that designs meet specification targets and requirements. • Develops design systems and standards that can scale across organizations and can be deployed across various global businesses. • Collaborates with platform architects and systems groups to define overall specifications based on system requirements. • Acts as the project management administrator to ensure all required project information and documentation are provided clearly on drawing sets. • Applies design thinking methods, translating requirements into hypotheses, conducting research, and facilitating activities to uncover connections with products. • Generates innovative new product ideas through collaborative team brainstorming and exploration, and fosters the team's knowledge of best design practices and trends in design. • Provides guidance, mentoring, and training to individual contributors in lower-level roles, and contributes to their growth in the organization. **Education & Experience Recommended** • High School Diploma/General Education Diploma (GED)/Higher Secondary education or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence. • Typically has 6-8 years of related work experience, preferably in product design, or a related field. **Preferred Certifications** • AutoCAD Certification **Knowledge & Skills** • 3D Modeling • Architectural Drawing • AutoCAD • Autodesk Revit • Bill Of Materials • Computer Aided Three-Dimensional Interactive Application (CATIA) • Computer-Aided Design • Construction • Electrical Engineering • Electronics • Engineering Design Process • Engineering Drawings • Mechanical Design • Mechanical Engineering • MicroStation (CAD Design Software) • New Product Development • Printed Circuit Board • Product Design • Product Lifecycle Management • SolidWorks (CAD) **Cross-Org Skills** • Effective Communication • Results Orientation • Learning Agility • Digital Fluency • Customer Centricity The pay range for this position is **$29** to **$43** USD per hour (applies to United States of America candidates only).
