Thermoplastic/Consumables Technician

This position is responsible for bonding, gluing, and packaging thermoplastic masks and other thermoplastic medical devices, ensuring that the product is labeled appropriately. (Other duties may be assigned.) - With direction, ensure accurate and timely production of products. - Efficiently package and label orders for shipping. - Adhere to work instructions for the bonding, gluing, and packaging of thermoplastic products. - Inspecting products for defects and reporting any issues immediately. - Prioritize work with a sense of urgency based on patient and provider needs, in cooperation with production planning. - Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures. - Receive and transfer products through an internal software system. - Generate labels as needed. - Adhere to all safety and security procedures. - Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. - Maintaining inventory of shipping materials and supplies. - Performing all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods. - Supporting the shipment of goods produced and the received goods and supplies to be used in or to aid in the production/storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base. - Arranging for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer’s purchase order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk by final inspection via the shipping instructions. - Keeping an adequate supply of materials on hand. - Maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and following prescribed safety regulations. **Required Education and/or Experience** High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 1-2 years related experience and/or training in production, warehouse, manufacturing, mail room, office assistant, or other similar roles. **Other Required/Useful Skills and Abilities** - Capability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Must be computer literate and have functional use of MS Excel, Word, Outlook and company ERP system. - Basic math skills and knowledge of units of measure. - Ability to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. - Must possess a strong attention to detail and be quality minded. **Physical Demands** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
