## Description **Clinical – $77,000 yearly** **Licensed - $72,000 yearly** (will consider experience/education for higher starting pay) **POSITION SUMMARY** The Therapist provides diagnostic assessment, individual, family, and group psychotherapy for children, adolescents, and adults receiving services within Astra Mental Health and Recovery. This position functions as part of Astra’s Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and supports integrated, trauma-informed, and person-centered care across the lifespan. The Therapist works collaboratively with the individual served, their family, and interdisciplinary teams to identify needs, establish treatment goals, monitor progress, and coordinate care. Services emphasize evidence-based practice, recovery-oriented approaches, and early intervention to promote emotional wellness, resilience, and functional success in daily life. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS** - Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and diagnostic assessments with individuals and families seeking services. - Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the individual and their family, incorporating measurable goals, objectives, and discharge criteria. - Provide evidence-based psychotherapy in individual, family, and group formats, appropriate to the individual’s age, developmental level, and presenting needs. - Diagnose and treat mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions consistent with CCBHC standards of care. - Conduct risk assessments, safety planning, and crisis intervention for individuals experiencing emotional or behavioral instability. - Collaborate with internal and external providers—including case managers, medical staff, schools, and community partners—to ensure continuity and coordination of care for the individual served. - Provide consultation and support to team members on clinical and behavioral health issues as needed. - Complete clinical documentation in Astra’s electronic health record (EHR) in accordance with agency, Medicaid, and CCBHC timeliness and quality standards. - Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews, treatment team meetings, and clinical supervision. - Serve as an ambassador of Astra in community settings, which may include educational or informational presentations. - Maintain active engagement in ongoing professional development, cultural competency training, and clinical supervision to ensure current and ethical practice. - Support Astra’s mission and philosophy of Access, Comprehensive Care, Excellent Outcomes, and Sustainability. - Perform other duties as assigned and within the scope of training and licensure. **Other Duties** - Demonstrate cultural and linguistic competence - Approach interactions with individuals served and colleagues with a trauma sensitive lens - Acts as an ambassador of the agency in the community setting, which may include doing public educational and informational presentations. - Support and actively promote the vision and mission of the agency and the philosophy of the strengths perspective - Completes required trainings - Other duties as assigned, as qualified and trained for. **POSITION QUALIFICATIONS** **Education and Licensure:** - Master’s or Doctoral degree in a recognized behavioral health discipline (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Professional Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy). - Licensed or license-eligible in the State of Kansas as a **Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP)**, including LSCSW, LCP, LPC, LMFT, LMSW, or associated provisional license. - Must successfully pass Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI), Central Registry, and any other required background checks. - Must maintain a valid Kansas driver’s license, good driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation. **Experience:** - Minimum of two years’ experience providing therapy, case management, or clinical services in a behavioral health or community-based setting preferred.
