Conditions of employment adjusted for part time employees or individuals who are hired for less than an entire school year. GENERAL SUMMARY: Under general supervision, administers and supervises the implementation of the district's mission and vision and ensures effective daily operation at The College Center. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supports and upholds the mission, vision and strategic goals of Lexington County School District One towards increased outcomes for students. Interacts, communicates and collaborates with all stakeholders effectively. Establishes a safe, supportive, positive and productive working and learning environment. Operates general office and technology equipment needed for daily activities. Maintains confidentiality regarding all employee and student information. Participates in all professional meetings and training sessions as required. Requests and maintains materials needed for daily responsibilities and essential functions; provides for safe storage and proper use of all tools, equipment and materials. Demonstrates characteristics such as competence, leadership, strong work ethics, personal integrity, professional demeanor, etc. to promote a positive image of the school and district. Implements the policies, regulations and requirements of the board of trustees, the superintendent, and/or designees. Assists in the development of general system policies and procedures; develops and executes building rules, regulations and procedures consistent with general system policies. Develops a schedule that maximizes students' opportunities for college readiness. Assists in planning, coordinating and conducting of innovative, current and researched-based professional learning for teachers, counselors, Center faculty, and college adjuncts and affiliates. Serves as lead instructional designer creating a personalized learning environment that promotes college and career readiness with special emphasis on community; oversees the instructional program of the College Center, suggesting best practice and research methods necessary to accomplish the learning goals for each student at the school. Evaluates the effectiveness of both formative and summative assessments; analyzes assessment data in relation to student learning and develops instructional strategies to close the learning and performance gap. Counsels students, teachers and parents on instructional concerns, both within the The College Center and among prospective Center students across the district. Works to recruit and retain Center teachers, including adjunct and affiliate professors qualified for employment with higher education partners. Evaluates certified and support personnel in accordance with state and school board policies and procedures. Recommends employment and dismissal of personnel in accordance with district personnel policies and procedures. Monitors substitutes for teachers and other staff positions.
