POSITION PURPOSE Reporting to the Director of Disability Access Services, the Testing Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring equitable access to academic resources for students with disabilities. This position supports the College’s commitment to access and inclusion by coordinating services that reduce barriers to student success. The Coordinator applies independent judgment and a strong understanding of disability-related accommodations to help create a learning environment grounded in compliance with federal and state accessibility laws. This is an on-campus position and is not eligible for remote work arrangements. This position is a 0.83 FTE working 1726 annual hours during the academic year (10 months, 40 hours). PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES The duties and priorities of this position may shift throughout the year based on the academic calendar. Workload and focus areas vary between the academic year and summer months, with certain responsibilities intensifying or changing depending on the College’s operational needs and student presence on campus. Supervisory Duties - This role typically supervises at least one student employee. Coordination & Support of Student Testing Accommodations (40%) - Oversee and coordinate all aspects of accommodated testing for students with disabilities including exam scheduling, preparation of accessible documents and technology such as screen readers and audiofiles, proctoring (including both paper and digital exams), and ensuring a welcoming, distraction-reduced environment. - Clearly communicate testing details, expectations, and procedures to students, and serve as a consistent, reliable point-of-contact throughout the testing process. - Track academic success and student engagement data to evaluate the effectiveness of testing accommodations, identify trends, and inform continuous improvement efforts. Supervision of Peer Note-Takers (20%) - Oversee and coordinate the College’s current note-taking services, including advertising the program, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating peer note-takers and reviewers. - Manage scheduling and payroll for note-taking staff, and supervise student workers who assist with testing accommodations, including proctoring. - In collaboration with the DAS Director, identify improvements to the note-taker program, including evaluation of and transitioning to AI-based and other note-taking software for adoption. - Facilitate the procurement of accessible documents, and provide critical support in evaluating and troubleshooting assistive and AI-based technologies. - Coordinate with Institutional Research to design and administer surveys for the evaluation and assessment of the peer note-taking program. Collaboration with Faculty & Campus Partners (20%) - Maintain collaborative communication with faculty regarding exams to ensure the best possible experience, both for the student and faculty. - Educate faculty on testing accommodation procedures and best…
