Perform a wide range of transactional duties to serve members by receiving or paying out funds with high accuracy. Maintain accurate transactional records. Provide a variety of member savings, share draft/checking, and credit account transactions. Assist the loan department with intake of loan applications. Perform administrative functions to support the Operations Department. Make referrals to the appropriate credit union department or team member with the intention of increasing the credit union Core Membership. **Experience and Training** - High School diploma or GED equivalent - 1 year in a customer service capacity which included cash handling experience, preferably in a credit union, bank or other financial institution **Required Knowledge and Abilities** **Knowledge of:** - Credit union products, services and policies **Ability to:** - Operate a personal computer and associated windows based software - Operate standard office equipment such as fax, copy and 10-key adding machines - Provide service to all members in the lobby in a timely manner - Perform minor math calculations - Organize time and duties effectively - Communicate effectively and professionally with members and the public - Work independently and quickly - Pay attention to details, be proficient and accurate - Be flexible and handle more than one task at a time - Handle cash accurately - Cross sell in order to achieve established goals - Handle phone inquiries to satisfaction of members **Physical Requirements (approximate percentage of day spent)** - Standing- 50% - Sitting- 20% - Bending-2% - Squatting- 1% - Walking- 20% - Lifting- 5% 5-15 lbs - Twisting-1% - Driving- 1%\* \* May be required to drive to another branch or Employee Sign up **Extent of Public Contact** This position works extensively with our members, both internal and external. Job is performed in branch office location, handling transactions primarily in person, but also over the telephone. **Working Conditions** Duties performed are in an office environment. May occasionally require traveling to branches to fill in as Teller as needed or to attend meetings or classes. Initial training period will require more travel as there are extensive training classes.
