Assists with planning, researching, evaluating, designing, and developing network systems. **Job Description** **What you’ll do:** - Design and engineer fiber optic outside plant telecommunications networks. - Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies to assess potential locations for fiber optic cable deployment. - Prepare detailed engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation for projects. - Analyze network performance and recommend improvements to optimize efficiency and reliability. - Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies. - Work closely with project stakeholders to manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively. - Provide technical support and troubleshooting for outside plant issues. - Maintain accurate records of network assets and infrastructure changes. **What we’re looking for:** **Telecom Consultant Associate SG6** *Education:* - Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study - Or Associate's degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience - Or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required. *Experience:* - No additional experience, other than what is listed above, is required. *Licenses/Certifications:* - Valid Driver's License is Required. **Telecom Consultant SG7** *Education:* - Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, telecommunications, or related field of study - Or Associate's degree in field mentioned above with 2 years of relevant work experience - Or HS diploma/GED with 4 years of relevant work experience required. *Experience:* - 2 years of relevant work experience in addition to any experience mentioned above. *Licenses/Certifications:* - Valid Driver's License is Required. **In addition:** - Possess entry to basic level knowledge of communications technologies and inter-networking principles. - Demonstrate competency in analytical techniques necessary to handle basic assignments.
